On Hire and Off Hire Bunker Surveys is conducted at the commencement and/or completion of a ship charter period. Primarily the On Hire and Off Hire Bunker Surveys notes the cargo holds, areas of the decks and the ship in general conditions. As well including the ship’s side plating as can be examined from the wharf’s side or from the ship’s deck. The wear and tear conditions are acceptable.

A Bunker Survey is usually performed at the same time with this survey. As Marine Surveyors, we have often represented both the owner and the charterer in conducting these On Hire and Off Hire surveys.

Bunker Survey is conducted to determine quantities of bunkers remaining on board at specific time by means; supervised the sounding of the ship’s tanks of various fuels, commonly Marine Fuel Oil and Diesel Oil.
